Capital Advisors Group has brought together a team of professionals with decades of experience in investment management and corporate banking. Senior members of our investment and operations teams have an average tenure of more than 21 years with the firm.
Ben Campbell has more than 30 years of experience in the securities and banking industries, where he has established an outstanding track record in building trading operations and creating short-term investment strategies.
As CEO and Founder of Capital Advisors Group, Ben plays an active role in both the Company’s overall business strategy and in overseeing its investment portfolios, product development, and client relationship management efforts. He also acts as Chief Investment Officer.
Ben is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and has been quoted in publications such as Treasury & Risk and the Wall Street Journal. In June 2011, Ben was named one of the “100 Most Influential People in Finance” by Treasury & Risk for Capital Advisors Group’s work on auction-rate securities and the rollout of FundIQ® money market fund research.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors and is Vice President and Treasurer of the Seymour H. Knox Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to arts, education, and human services organizations. Ben also serves on the Board of Directors for the Waterfowl Research Foundation. Additionally, from 1999-2008 he served on the Finance Committee and was a Co-Chair of the Investment Sub-Committee of Ducks Unlimited, Inc., one of the country’s largest conservation organizations.
Prior to founding Capital Advisors Group, Ben was a Vice President in the money market center at The Boston Company and held various positions at Fidelity Investments.
Ben earned a B.S. degree in business management from Ithaca College.
Steve Salemi joined Capital Advisors Group in 1997. As President, he directs the day‐to‐day operations and strategic development at Capital Advisors Group and supervises its Portfolio Management Department. He also serves on the company’s Investment and Credit committees and on the Board of Directors. Previously, Steve held the title of Head trader, managing the investment of more than $5 billion.
Steve holds a B.A. degree in government with a minor in economics (cum laude) from Dartmouth College.
Ray Facinelli manages Capital Advisors Group’s business development efforts with a focus on corporations, colleges and universities, non-profits, and municipalities. Ray joined Capital Advisors Group in 2011 as a Senior Vice President and has over 20 years of investment and financial services experience specializing in business development, relationship management, and marketing.
Previously, Ray held the role of Managing Consultant with TIAA-CREF, where he was responsible for business relationships with large public institutions. He also spent a significant portion of his career at New York Life Investment Management, including time as Sales Director for the Guaranteed Products Group, a position in which he oversaw the marketing and sales of a full range of guaranteed fixed-income investment solutions to mid- and large-cap corporations, governments, and financial institutions.
Ray earned a B.S. in business administration and an MBA from Seton Hall University.
Stefan Spazek supervises business development in the New England and Central regions. He also oversees the company’s debt consulting business. Since 2010, Stefan has also overseen the debt consulting business in the East Coast and Midwest territories. He joined Capital Advisors Group in 2006 as Director of Marketing, overseeing the company’s brand strategy, product positioning, content development, web strategy, advertising, public relations, and direct marketing. He received a B.A. from Hartwick College, where he was a member of the Sigma Tau Delta international English honor society. He holds the FINRA Series 65 license.
Marc Eiskowitz leads Capital Advisors Group’s West Coast business development efforts with a focus on emerging growth and venture backed companies. Marc joined Capital Advisors Group in 2018 as Vice President and has over 14 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Previously, Marc worked at J.P. Morgan Investment Management as a Client Advisor where he held his Series 7 and 63 licenses and was responsible for providing short term fixed income solutions to corporations and public entities.
Marc hold his Series 66 license and earned a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Albany.
Ryan McCarthy leads our debt placement efforts on the West Coast, where he works with venture-backed and growth stage companies. He joined Capital Advisors Group in 2019 and has over 15 years of experience working in finance, primarily in investment banking and venture debt. Previously, Ryan worked at TriplePoint Capital where he was responsible for originating, structuring, and negotiating debt transactions with ventured-backed companies across the technology and life sciences sectors. Additionally, Ryan held investment banking roles at Headwaters MB and Rutberg & Company, where he advised Technology, Media & Telecom companies on M&A and on raising capital. Ryan earned a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Hamilton College, as well as an MBA and MS in Finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
Lance Pan joined Capital Advisors Group in 2003. As Director of Investment Research and Strategy, Lance assesses the risk and relative value of asset classes and credits, creates advanced credit approval and surveillance procedures, issues credit opinions, and provides investment strategy recommendations. Lance oversees Capital Advisors Group’s Credit Committee.
Previously, Lance was a Senior Corporate Research Analyst at Columbia Management Group (FleetBoston Financial) in Boston, where he was responsible for fundamental analysis and related strategies for the firm’s mutual funds and large institutional accounts. Earlier in his career, Lance worked for Central Pacific Bank in Honolulu.
Lance received an MSF from Boston College, an MBA and an M.A. in communications from the University of Hawaii, and a B.A. in English from Fudan University. He is a CFA charterholder and member of the CFA Society Boston.
Siobhan Monaghan manages and monitors investment portfolios based on clients’ risk tolerances, liquidity needs, and return objectives. She also consults with clients on investment strategy, portfolio activity, investment guideline modification, and performance. She joined Capital Advisors Group in 1997 and serves on the firm’s Credit and Investment committees.
Siobhan holds a business degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and a law degree from the University of Ottawa.
Marc St. André manages and monitors investment portfolios based on clients’ risk tolerances, liquidity needs, and return objectives. He also consults with clients on investment strategy, portfolio activity, investment guideline modification, and performance. Marc joined Capital Advisors Group in 2001 and serves on the Company’s Investment Committee.
Marc earned a B.A. in economics from Middlebury College.
Kate Ryan manages and monitors investment portfolios based on clients’ risk tolerances, liquidity needs, and return objectives. She consults with clients on investment strategy, portfolio activity, investment guideline modification, and performance. Kate joined Capital Advisors Group in 2001 and serves on the firm’s Investment Committee.
Kate earned a B.A. in economics (magna cum laude) from Tufts University and an MBA from Babson College.
Anthony Cucinotta is responsible for trade execution and strategy implementation at Capital Advisors Group, while also providing market information and investment strategy ideas to the Portfolio Management and Research departments. Anthony joined Capital Advisors Group in 2000 and serves on the Company’s Credit and Investment Committees.
Anthony holds a B.A. degree in marketing with a minor in economics from Syracuse University and is a member of the Boston Securities Traders Association.
Shane Fierman joined Capital Advisors Group in 2015. As Director of Marketing, Shane oversees the company’s marketing and communications efforts, including strategy and planning, product positioning, content development, web strategy, events, advertising, public relations, and direct marketing. Previously, Shane spearheaded all marketing and communication activities at Semcasting. Additionally, Shane held marketing roles at CNBC, supporting the brand marketing, digital marketing, on-air promotions, affiliate marketing and sales teams. Shane holds a B.A. degree in Organizational Behavior and Communications from New York University.
Violet joined Capital Advisors Group in 1997. As Director of Operations, Violet supervises the Accounting and Operations Department and oversees the department’s daily functions. She also performs daily account reconciliation and produces month-end accounting reports, including the creation of custom reports based on individual client needs.
Violet earned a B.A. in political science from Montclair State University.

Kari Toney joined Capital Advisors Group in 2001. As Director of Compliance, she is responsible for development, maintenance and administration of Capital Advisors Group’s compliance policies and procedures. Kari is also responsible for monitoring regulatory and legal developments with respect to investment advisors.
Prior to Capital Advisors Group, Kari worked at the Boston Stock Exchange, Advest and Hambrecht & Quist.
Kari received her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and her JD from Suffolk University Law School. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
With over 20 years of experience in the software industry, I have successfully led strategic consulting service engagements across different industries with a wide variety of technology stacks. I have a knack for being able to understand both the business and technical side of the equation and arrive at a solution that best fits the task at hand.
As Director of Technology at Capital Advisors Group, I currently provide strategic technology leadership and development for the firm’s various fintech & operational initiatives. Previously, I founded 33 Technologies, a technology consultancy firm with core competencies in the Investment Management space, specifically around Data Operations, Front, Middle, & Back Office System Integrations, and Client Reporting.
I also had over a decade of experience with Varden Technologies where I was a founding architect of the eReportal Client Reporting Platform and, as director of implementations, led numerous engagements ranging from large institutional clients producing highly dynamic Pitchbooks and Factsheets to more traditional tabular reports to dynamic data driven dashboards on eReportal’s Xportal platform. I also led a number of successful client engagements for Varden’s consulting practice, including an enterprise-wide compliance implementation of Fidessa’s LatentZero Sentinel as well in-house data warehouses and back-office operational workflows and processes.
Skills include excellent software design, development, and database implementation utilizing .NET, Java, XML, HTML, JavaScript, OOD/OOP, Sql Server and Oracle. I have deep architectural knowledge of distributed message-based enterprise systems, and experience with buy-side financial industry workflows, technical frameworks and strategies. I also have extensive integration experience with Blackbaud’s nonprofit enterprise CRM, The Raiser’s Edge, and implementation experience with CGI Federal’s Momentum Financials Federal Government Account Software.

Brian Buntzen performs daily account reconciliation and produces month-end accounting reports, including the creation of custom reports based on individual client needs. In addition, Brian manages performance reporting and Capital Advisors Group’s internal accounting system. Brian joined Capital Advisors Group in 1999 and holds the FINRA Series 65 license.
Brian earned a B.A. in Mathematics from Rowan University.
Brian Buntzen

Glen Fuzy performs daily account reconciliation and produces month-end accounting reports, including the creation of custom reports based on individual client needs. His role at Capital Advisors Group also includes maintenance of Capital Advisors Group’s internal accounting system. Glen joined Capital Advisors Group in 2000 and holds the FINRA Series 65 license.
Glen earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Montclair State University with a concentration in Economics and Finance.
Andrew Tong joined Capital Advisors Group in 2007. As part of the research team, Andrew is responsible for conducting research and analysis of approved credits and maintaining the approved credit list. He also provides analytical support to the Trading and Portfolio Management team.
Andrew received his Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University. He is a CFA charterholder and member of the CFA Society Boston.
Andrew Tong

Mike Brasure helps manage the day-to-day trading operations at Capital Advisors Group. He is responsible for the implementation and execution of the firm’s trading strategies and also provides the portfolio management and research departments with market updates and investment strategy ideas. Mike joined Capital Advisors Group in 2006 and serves on the company’s Investment Committee.
Mike earned a B.S. in Economics-Finance from Bentley University.
Matthew Paniati joined Capital Advisors Group in 2015. He initially supported the Portfolio Management team as an Assistant Portfolio Manager before transitioning to the Research team in 2017.
As Senior Research Analyst, he conducts money market and credit research supporting the management and further development of Capital Advisors Group’s FundIQ® and CounterpartyIQ® products. He is responsible for monitoring approved list credits, focusing on US, Canadian, and UK banks. He also blogs and publishes white papers on a variety of topics relating to cash investment strategy, macroeconomics, and monetary policy.
Matt earned a B.S. in Economics-Finance (magna cum laude) from Bentley University. He is a CFA® charterholder, and a member of the CFA Society Boston.
Kerry joined Capital Advisors Group’s debt placement group in 2020. As Assistant Vice President, he is responsible for financial analysis, deal structuring, and negotiating venture debt capital for emerging growth companies. Previously, Kerry spent over four years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Retail Finance Group, where he was involved in underwriting, structuring, and managing asset-based loans to large corporate retailers. Kerry received a BS in Finance and Information Systems from Boston College.
Pate Campbell joined Capital Advisors Group in 2020. As an Analyst, he is responsible for conducting money market, credit and ESG research to support and maintain Capital Advisors Group’s FundIQ® and CounterpartyIQ® products. Additionally, Pate assists in monitoring approved list credits, and writes reports on a variety of topics from current credit market conditions to sustainable investing. Pate earned a B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College. He is a CFA® charterholder, and a member of the CFA Society Boston.
Alex Goldman joined Capital Advisors Group in 2021. As an Analyst, he conducts money market and credit research to support and maintain Capital Advisors Group’s FundIQ® and CounterpartyIQ® products. Additionally, Alex is responsible for monitoring credits on the approved list and writes reports on a variety of topics including economic conditions and regulatory changes. Alex received a BSBA in Finance (magna cum laude) from Bryant University.
Eric has over 25 years of fixed income portfolio management and trading experience with both asset management and broker-dealer firms.
Prior to joining CAG, Eric was a senior portfolio manager for SVB Asset Management for approximately 10 years where he and his team were responsible for the overall strategy, security selection, and risk management of institutional fixed income portfolios for innovation economy focused clients. Prior to joining SVB, Eric served as head of fixed income trading for Natixis Global Asset Management, a fixed income portfolio manager and trader with Barclays Global Investors (currently Blackrock), and trading positions at broker-dealers Schwab Capital Markets and Stone & Youngberg.
Eric is often asked to speak with the press on a range of topics and at industry conferences. Eric earned his master’s degree from Saint Mary’s College of California and bachelor’s degree from California State University, Hayward.
Keren Luo joined Capital Advisors Group in 2024. As an Analyst, she conducts money market and credit research to support and maintain Capital Advisors Group’s FundIQ and CounterPartyIQ products. Additionally, Keren assists in monitoring approved list credits, and writes reports on a variety of topics. Keren earned a B.A. in Economics and Quantitative Social Science (Magna Cum Laude) from Dartmouth College.
Cailey McVay joined Capital Advisors Group in 2024. As a Business Development Analyst, she supports the Sales team with strategizing, organizing, and prospecting client relationships. Cailey started as a Research and Marketing intern with Capital Advisors Group in 2023 and has a year of experience in investment management research. Cailey earned a B.A. in Economics and Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College.
Sean Beukas joined Capital Advisors Group in 2024. As an operations manager, Sean assists in daily account reconciliation and reporting on the Operations team. He graduated from Rutgers Business School in New Brunswick in 2024 with a B.S. in Business Analytics and Information Technology (BAIT) and a minor in Political Science.
Ryan Curts joined Capital Advisors Group in 2009. He supervises product development for both internal and external research applications, and has played an integral role in the design, development and implementation of Capital Advisors Group’s FundIQ® and CounterpartyIQ® products.
Ryan earned his B.S. degree in computer science (cum laude) from Boston University.
Jennifer McVeigh is the Executive Assistant to Capital Advisors Group’s President and Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for overseeing all areas of accounting for the firm. Jennifer joined Capital Advisors Group in 2006.
Jennifer received her B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from Worcester State College.
Lauren Sheridan joined Capital Advisors Group in 2017. As Executive Assistant, Lauren provides administrative support to Capital Advisors Group’s President and Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day office management responsibilities of the firm.
Lauren received her A.S. in General Studies from Tunxis Community College.
